ACTION FOR DYSPHASIC
ADULTSDysphasia is the total or partial loss of language - speech, reading,
writing - following a stroke or head injury. Action for Dysphasic Adults works
to overcome barriers faced by people with dysphasia. It offers the following services and activities. - A network of self-help groups.
- Advice and support are offered through ADA's publications and a telephone
helpline (this includes advocacy and legal advice) for people with dysphasia,
relatives and professionals.
- Campaigning to raise awareness of dysphasia and to improve services.
- Training for professionals who work with people with dysphasia.
