ADVICE SERVICE CAPABILITY
SCOTLAND (ASCS)Capability Scotland works with people with cerebral palsy to create more
choices in their lives. It also supports many people with other disabling
conditions through education and employment services, residential and day care
and advice and information. Advice Service Capability Scotland (ASCS) is a
confidential, free enquiry service on all aspects of living with cerebral
palsy. Contact can be made by telephone, letter or home visit. People who can
benefit from the service include: people with cerebral palsy; people with other
similar disabilities; parents, carers, friends; professionals; anyone with an
interest in cerebral palsy or disability issues. ASCS provides the following. - Information by telephone.
- Loan of books, videos, audio-cassettes, journals on cerebral palsy and
other disabilities.
- A range of leaflets on issues such as finance, therapy and respite.
- Further information on Capability Scotland's services.
