AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN MENTAL
HEALTH ASSOCIATIONACMHA came into existence in 1982 and has grown from a local befriending
agency to an organisation concentrating on alternative treatments for mental
health through a variety of therapies, support and legal services. Services offered include the following. - Psychotherapy.
- Alternative therapy.
- Counselling.
- Legal advice.
- MHRT representation/legal advocacy.
- Volunteer befriending/advocacy.
- Community support.
- Support and advice for carers.
- Training and workshops.
ACMHA's services can be purchased direct by any agency or individual UK
wide. Care packages are also available. Costs are negotiable to elderly and
unemployed. ACMHA also provides a consultancy service to agencies or
organisations.
