Ash is involved in the following activities: - Maintaining a comprehensive database of information about smoking and its
risks, the tobacco industry and tobacco control initiatives worldwide.
- Answering thousands of queries every year from schoolchildren, doctors,
journalists and the general public.
- Runnning campaigns to reduce smoking and promote smoke-free air for
non-smokers.
- Investigating and advising on policies for tobacco control, making
submissions to the government and giving evidence to parliamentary committees.
- Advising employees and employers on the introduction and operation of
smoking policies at work.
- Publishing a bi-monthly Bulletin and occasional reports, booklets, and
leaflets to educate the public on smoking.
