ASPIRE - ASSOCIATION FOR SPINAL INJURY RESEARCH REHABILITATION AND REINTEGRATION

ASPIRE is a national organisation and registered charity involved in research into spinal injury, rehabilitation and reintegration.

Its activities include the following:

  • A National Training Centre in Stanmore, Middlesex which offers disabled people sports training, management and back-to-work skills courses as well as carers' training schemes and training for teachers about disability issues in sport.
  • Facilities at the centre include a dance/exercise studio, 25 metre pool with ramped access, sports hall, training suite.
  • National fund-raising activities.
  • A Human Needs Fund supplying grants to disabled people.
  • A regular newsletter for members.
