IMPROVEMENTS IN THE MATERNITY SERVICES (AIMS)AIMS is a pressure group which supports parents' rights in childbirth. AIMS
works for women in two ways: by providing support and information about
maternity choices to individual women nd by functioning as a campaigning
pressure group which has been at the forefront of the childbirth movement for
the last 35 years. AIMS publishes information leaflets on water and home Birth, parents' rights
etc. It also publishes a quarterly journal with current information on consumer
views, current practice, book reviews, etc. AIMS also runs a telephone helpline and answers thousands of letters from
parents, midwives and maternity units.
