ASSOCIATION FOR GLYCOGEN
STORAGE DISEASE (UK) The purpose of the association shall be to organise a volunary support group
for all persons affected with some form of Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD) and
their families. The Primary Purpose of the Association is to act as a family contact
and support group for all persons affected by some form of GSD and their
families. The Secondary Purposes are to: a) protect and promote the best interests of all persons affected with GSD. b) act as a vehicle of communication on GSD related matters and to publish
and distrinute such material to all members of the association (but not
necessarily restricted to members of the association). c) contribute towards trabvel and accomodation expenses associated with the
Annual General Meeting of the AGSD (UK) for those otherwise not able to attend
the AGM. d)encourage the improvement of facilities for the treatment, study
education, shelter, recuperation and other general benefits to GSD affected
persons. e) act as a focus for educational, scientific and charitable activities
related to the disease. f) contact and help organise other such groups wherever and whenever the
need arises throughout the world for the purposes stated in 1 and 2.
