Barnardo's is the UK's biggest and best known children`s charity. We have
200 services working with 26,500 children, young people and families a year. The nineties find us fighting the old problems of poverty, homelessness, and
child prostitution, and new issues of children coping with HIV/AIDS, or young
people who sexually abuse. Our work aims to give children and young people a decent start: adoption and
fostering services provide caring homes for children and young people with
special needs. We help people with learning disabilities live in the community and provide
residential education for young people with behavior problems or physical or
learning disabilities.
