BREAST CANCER CARE

Breast Cancer Care offers practical advice, information and support to women affected by breast cancer or breast related problems. They also aim to support partners, friends and relatives, members of the general public, health professionals and the media.

A range of information leaflets and booklets are available covering issues including aspects of breast care and breast surgery. These are free to clients and a small fee is charged to health professionals.

A nationwide volunteer service operates which provides trained volunteers, all with personal experience of breast cancer. They will telephone or visit, at home or in hospital, any woman seeking information or emotional support. There is also a partners volunteer service to the partners of people with breast cancer.

Also available is a personal and confidential prosthesis fitting service by appointment.
