BRITISH LIVER TRUSTThe liver is a vital organ. It fights off infection, makes essential
chemicals and filters out poisons. The British Liver Trust is a national
organisation devoted to the prevention, treatment and cure of all liver
diseases. Its aims are as follows: - To research the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of
the liver and biliary tract.
- To educate the general public and medical practitioners in all subjects
relating to the liver.
- To support, inform and advise patients suffering from liver disease, and
all those involved in caring for them.
