BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF
PSYCHOTHERAPISTSThe British Association of Psychotherapists was founded in 1951 and now has
well-established training courses based on psychoanalytic and Jungian analytic
theories for psychotherapists treating adults, adolescents and children. The
standards required ensure a very high level of competence among practising
members. The Association maintains a register of persons recognised as
competent to practise as professional psychotherapists. It also offers 3-times-a-week psychoanalytic psychotherapy through a reduced
fee scheme and an assessment and referral system for children and adults
nationwide. All referrals and enquiries for the Clinical Service should be made
either by letter or telephone through the Secretary at the address given above.
