CANCER CARE SOCIETY

The Cancer Care Society offers emotional support and practical information to individuals, couples, friends and families who have been personally affected by a diagnosis of cancer. The Society has trained, experienced counsellors who offer free, confidential counselling, assisting individuals to find their own way of coping and coming to terms with their present and future situation.

For people who wish to share their thoughts, fears and hopes with others who have had similar types of cancer, there is a National Telephone Link Line (number above), putting in touch yesterday's patients, relatives and friends with those of today. People can also be put in touch with Support Groups operating in various parts of the country, especially for befriending purposes and personal contact.

Although the Cancer Care Society can not offer financial help, it can offer moderately-priced holiday accommodation. Details of this can be obtained by telephoning the head office in Bristol on the number below.
