ChildLine is the free, national helpline for children and young people in
danger and distress. It provides a confidential phone counselling service for
any child with any problem 24 hours a day, everyday. It listens, comforts and
protects. Trained counsellors provide support and advice and refer children in
danger to appropriate helping agencies. ChildLine also brings to public attention issues affecting children's
welfare and rights.
