COLON CANCER CONCERN

Colon Cancer Concern is unique in that it is the only national charity concerned solely with colorectal cancer. It has the following purposes.

  • To seek out and record information on bowel cancer from all sources, both national and international.
  • To make available that information in the appropriate form to all who have an interest in colorectal cancer.
  • To run awareness campaigns aimed at specific groups.
  • To fund pioneering research into the development of new treatments for colorectal cancer.

A newsletter is published three times a year and sent to all those people who express an interest in the organisation's work. As well as fundraising news, it also contains a question and answer section and a research round up. A series of fact sheets is also available from CCC on the following subjects.

  • Incidence.
  • Prevention.
  • Early detection and screening.
  • Signs and symptoms.
  • Treatment.
  • Commonly asked questions.
  • The language of bowel cancer.
  • Diet.
  • 10 questions to ask your doctor.
  • Advanced colorectal cancer treatments.
