 | COMMUNITY HYGIENE CONCERN |
Helpline for people with Cerebral Palsy, their families, carers,
professionals and members of the public. Community Hygiene Concern (CHC) is a non profit-making organisation set up
to help schools, community health services and parents cope with lead lice. CHC
evaluates methods of detection and cure, working in families and schools, and
disseminates information on best practice when evidence of effectiveness is
found. The CHC operates a Help Line (above) on head lice and other common
parasites. It produces a 'Bug Buster Kit' for families and educational
materials for schools and health professionals for the detection and
eradication of head lice. The CHC's 'Bug Busting' method is a safe,
non-pesticidal way to cope with lice routinely and in a crisis. The CHC
produces information leaflets on detecting and coping with head lice as well as
educational materials and promotes 'National Bug Busting Days' on 31st October
and 31st January.
