CRUSE - BEREAVEMENT CARE Cruse Bereavement Care is the largest bereavement charity in the UK, with
nearly 200 local branches. It offers help to people bereaved by death, in any
way, whatever their age, nationality or belief. Cruse's help includes a free
counselling service for bereaved people, opportunities for contact with others
through bereavement support groups and advice or information on practical
matters. It is personal and confidential help, backed by a wide range of
publications. There is also a monthly newsletter for bereaved people
(subscription rate February 1999 - £10.00) and a journal, Bereavement
Care, for those working with the dying and the bereaved (subscription rate -
£15.00). Cruse also arranges training courses for those who work either in
a professional or lay capacity with the bereaved. For a publication list or

above address. Self-referral is the usual way most people contact Cruse, however, where the
bereaved person has given their consent, we may accept referrals from the
family, or the various caring professions.
