EMOTIONAL SUPPORT NETWORKThe Emotional Support Network (ESN) is run by sufferers for sufferers and
was established in 1998. It is a voluntary (non-profit making) network in
nature and there is no membership fee. The network helps sufferers of
depression, anxiety, panic, agoraphobia and other phobias via the following
services. - Friendship, mutual support and care; sharing experiences, feelings and
information via a membership list allowing contact to be made with others in
suffering similarly.
- Information on other UK emotional and mental health self-help/support
organisations via a Help List and individual leaflets.
- Information on a variety of emotional and mental health
conditions/illnesses.
- Book list of relevant publications and lending library of relevant
self-help books.
- Localised UK Area Representatives service (currently in development) in all
parts of the country to enable sufferers to make contact with others in their
locality and to form localised self-help/support groups to meet regularly.
