FAMILY HEART ASSOCIATION The Family Heart Association (FHA) provides information on coronary heart
disease and its management by diet, lifestyle and drugs. The FHA aims to help
anyone at high risk of coronary heart disease especially families with
inherited high cholesterol as in FH, familial hypercholesterolaemia, and FCH,
familial combined hyperlipidaemia, The FHA is governed by a committee, most of whom are FH patients. There is
also an eminent medical advisory panel which includes some of Britains leading
doctors specialising in heart problems and lipid disorders. The Family Heart Digest, free to members, is published every 2 months. It
includes articles on medicine and science, advice on food, diet and lifestyle,
recipe suggestions, news and views. The FHA also publishes books and leaflets, arranges public workshops,
