GLAXO NEUROLOGICAL CENTREThe Glaxo Neurological Centre is a purpose-built facility offering
non-medical information and advice on all aspects of neurological conditions.
The centre is run by a registered charity, the Mersey Neurological Trust. The Centre offers the following services and facilities: full disabled
access; reference library with Internet facility; drop-in advice and
information; meeting rooms and exhibition space; personal advice sessions at
the centre on a range of neurological conditions and welfare rights; and
AbilityNet offering information and guidance to disabled people and
professionals on using IT. The Centre also runs the Working Life Project to help people who are looking
for a job or who are in work and have been diagnosed with a neurological
condition. This service is aimed at people throughout North West England and
North Wales. The Glaxo Neurological Centre is also an alliance organisation for local
neurological charities meeting on a regular basis to discuss matters of common
