GUT MOTILITY DISORDERS
SUPPORT NETWORK (GMD SUPPORT NET)The Gut Motility Disorders Support Network aims to offer telephone support
and information to families with children who have neuropathic or myopathic
conditions affecting gut motility. Adults with these conditions and health
profressionals are also welcome to contact the group. Main disorders covered are as follows: - Hirschsprungs Disease
- Intestinal Neuronal Dysplasia
- Hollow Visceral Myopathy
- Gastro-Oesphageal Reflux
The group offers advice on suitable centres for treatment for these
conditions. All written material is vetted and approved by the group's medical
advisers at Great Ormond Street Hospital where the group holds an annual
Parents' Workshop.
