Aims

Hairline International - The Alopecia Patients' Society is an international network of patients who have lost, or are losing, their hair through scalp disease or thinning conditions.

It was founded by Elizabeth Steel, the TV Presenter, who lost 90% of her hair through Alopecia Areata, and wrote the book Coping with Sudden Hair Loss.

The society provides information on medical treatment, mutual support and practical help. It is the only national alopecia patients' support group. Since it began, Hairline has helped some 60,000 patients to cope.
