MATERNITY ALLIANCEThe Maternity Alliance is a national charity which aims to improve the care,
health, education, social support and employment rights given to parents before
conception., during pregnancy, childbirth and in the first year of their
child's life. The Alliance focuses on women and families who are disadvantaged, believing
that services which get things right for them will result in improvements for
everyone. They believe that parents and prospective parents have a central role
in bringing about change in the maternity services. Maternity Alliance offers
the following services. - A telephone advice service.
- Distribution of over 100,000 leaflets a year.
- A legal service offering specialist advice on sex discrimination and
maternity rights.
