NATIONAL KIDNEY FEDERATION

The National Kidney Federation is devoted to the welfare of kidney patients by using personal experiences to help fellow sufferers of kidney failure and kidney disease, campaigning for better treatment facilities and promoting the concept of organ donation. It encourages self-help by advice and information through its quarterly magazine and annual conference.

The Federation publishes leaflets on treatments for kidney failure, for patients, professionals and students. The video programme, Twice Blessed, deals with issues in transplantation.

There are 50 member associations throughout the UK whose activities include purchase of medical equipment, provision of holiday facilities and practical help for kidney patients and their families.
