The National Back Pain Association is a national organisation that helps
sufferers and their families and friends. Membership costs a minimum of
£15 a year (£20 overseas) and includes the quarterly magazine
"TalkBack". The aims of the association are to: - fund scientific research into back pain
- to educate people to use their bodies sensibly and reduce the incidence of
back pain
- to encourage self-help for back pain sufferers, and those who care for
them, through the formation of local branches
Funds are used to: - commission further scientific research
- develop an education programme
- expand the network of self-help branches
