STEROID AID GROUP - SAGThe Steroid Aid Group (SAG) has the following aims. - To seek information about, and to stimulate research into steroid drugs,
their uses, side effects and the illnesses for which they are prescribed.
- To campaign for more open information between drug companies, doctors and
patients regarding the risks of steroid treatment.
- To make SAG known to all steroid patients and those who care for them.
- To encourage the exchange of information and experience between members for
their mutual comfort, help and advice.
- To stress to doctors that the BMA's advice is that steroids should be
prescribed in the minimum amounts for the minimum length of time (see British
National Formulary).
For information about steroids, send an A5 stamped addressed envelope to the
above address. Membership of £5.00 per year (correct April 1999) includes individual
advice, three newsletters a year and two London meetings per year.
