The Stroke Association works to prevent stroke through research and health
education and provides direct help for stroke people and their families through
its welfare services. The Association's information and advisory line,
available on the above telephone number, provides the following services. - Leaflets explaining what stroke is.
- A listening ear to help people come to terms with stroke and to put
individuals in touch with stroke support groups.
- An enquiry line for help with matters such as rehabilitation and holidays
and how to get the best from local services and agencies.
