TASHA FOUNDATIONThe Tasha Foundation Helpline provides out of hours support for individuals
experiencing mental illness, including those experiencing suicidal feelings,
and their families and carers. The confidential Helpline offers a listening ear
and supports callers in an empathetic and caring manner. They outline and
discuss coping skills and explain where to get further help and information. Tasha also offers daycare support services by referral only including:
client centred, cognitive and supportive counselling, focussed group work and
relaxation exercises. Its Benzodiazeine Project is a service for those
experiencing difficulties associated with the use of tranquillisers. Self-help
packs avaialable include the following. - Understanding and overcoming agoraphobia
- Understanding and coping with insomnia
- Understanding and overcoming depression
- Understanding stress.
