IS OBESITY DUE TO HORMONE
PROBLEMS?
Hormones are often blamed for overweight. These problems are relatively
uncommon and include an under active thyroid gland (hypothyroidism), or an
overactive adrenal gland (Cushing's syndrome).
Even rarer are hormone problems such as Prader-Willi or Laurence-Moon-Biedl
syndromes.
Most cases of obesity linked to hormone imbalances are quickly diagnosed and
treatment can help to correct the problem.
