- Paracetamol/ibuprofen or other analgesic.
- Bandages, adhesive tape, gauze/wound dressings.
- Scissors, safety pins, tweezers, pen-knife.
- Diarrhoea treatment (adults only).
- Oral rehydration preparation.
- Sunscreen - high protection factor (e.g. x 25).
- Antihistamine (cream and/or tablets).
- Water purification tablets/equipment.
- Emergency dental kit.
- Insect repellent containing DEET.
- Motion sickness medications.
- Thermometer.
- Travel-related prescription drugs (where indicated):
- antimalarial drugs - standby and prophylactic
- broad-spectrum antibiotic (for travel to remote areas)
- emergency kit for severe allergy.
- Sterile kit (needles, syringes, sutures, IV cannula).
- Condoms/contraceptives.
- Sanitary supplies.
- Antiseptic/iodine tincture 2% (wounds/water purification).
- Topical antibiotic/antifungal powder.
